Conditions and Selection Criteria
In order to assess the project ideas and expressions of interest that come to Leader Nedre Dalälven, the board uses our basic conditions and selection criteria.
Applications for project support and project support for companies must meet our basic conditions.
The selection criteria help the board assess and score the projects to ensure they fit into our strategy.
Below you can download our selection criteria and basic conditions to see what your project idea needs to contain to be granted support.
1. Local development
Local development is at the heart and soul of Leader. This focus area encompasses most of what the local level has indicated a desire to work on for the development of the area. It includes different types of initiatives that engage people and are important for the development of the region.
2. Smart villages
Smart communities develop creative solutions to local challenges by using the unique strengths and opportunities of the locality. This could, for example, involve local hubs for private, non-profit and public activities in a location that could include remote workplaces, premises for businesses and associations or other collaborations.
3. Entrepreneurship & Innovation
One of Leader's aims is to support the local economy to contribute to new and preserved jobs and businesses. We also want to support entrepreneurship in a broader perspective and all varieties of innovation in the area. Innovative thinking and testing activities that fit within the Leader method are something that may be relevant to support.
4. Climate & Environment
The geographical area of the Leader area is identical to the Nedre Dalälven River Landscape Biosphere Reserve, a model area for sustainable development.
Examples of possible interventions include work to communicate climate and environmental issues in the area and biosphere labeling of products and services. Work with fisheries management to bring migratory fish into the river, support for fisheries management associations and interventions along the coastline are also within the intervention area, as is work to promote open landscapes and
biodiversity.
5. Sustainable tourism industry
The tourism industry emerged as the single area with the greatest development potential in all local process meetings. The Lower Dalälv area, with the unique natural and cultural environments found here, is a natural recreation area and the tourism industry is becoming increasingly important.
With this focus area, we want to support the development of the tourism industry in a sustainable direction, not least environmentally.
