Application

The staff at the Leader office will provide you with tips and advice during the application process. More information can be found below.

Writing an application

We recommend that anyone who wants to apply for project support submits a registration of interest to LAG in an initial stage.

In the expression of interest, we have collected most of the questions that are in the electronic application. LAG gives you feedback on your expression of interest – whether it believes that the project can contribute to the goals of the development strategy, whether the project has the potential to meet the selection criteria, etc. After that process, you can go ahead and make a complete project application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.

Expression of interest for project support

Application:

An application always contains basic information about the applicant, project plan and budget, as well as information for follow-up. In some cases, supporting documents in the form of permits, quotes, etc. are also required. The application serves as a basis for decisions and justifies the costs that arise when a project is implemented. The Leader office supports the applicant in the process and provides advice on how to design the application correctly.

The application must include a detailed budget for the project. The Swedish Board of Agriculture's budget template (Excel file) is used, which is also attached to the e-application. There is also a template for describing the activities you want to do in the project, which is a good idea to attach to your application.

If the project has salary costs, the calculation of hourly wages must be based on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's form.

If the project is financed by other public organizations with actual co-financing in money, the financier's own working hours or premises, etc., a co-financing certificate issued to the project must be attached to the application.

When a complete project application is received via the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service, it will be sent to us at the Leadership Office.

We handle arrivals, investigate and assess the projects.

It is the board that decides which projects should be prioritized and allocated money based on our strategy. Once the board has prioritized a project and the processing is complete, the application is sent to the Swedish Board of Agriculture – which makes more checks and approves or rejects the project application.

From the time a complete application is submitted via the e-service, it can take 4-6 months before the complete decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture is ready. The project applicant may begin incurring costs in the project from the date the project application is submitted in the e-service, but at your own risk.
