Umbrella Project Local Food

– Supports efforts to increase production and consumption of local food and drink in Nedre Dalälven

Through our umbrella project "Local Food", it has been possible to seek support for smaller activities with a budget of up to SEK 30,000.

The application is simplified compared to full-scale Leader projects.

Purpose with the umbrella project "Local food" is to support various smaller initiatives to increase the production and consumption of local food and drink.

Food and food crafts in Gysinge

Recurring market days in Gysinge with local food producers. During the project period, eight corona-adapted mini markets were arranged with a couple of different producers on each occasion. In total, more than 20 producers from mainly Österfärnebo and Gysinge sold potatoes, beetroot, carrots, onions, chard, honey, pralines, pastries, cheese, sausages, and much more that was produced locally. The market days continued after the end of the project.

For the marketing of the Tämnarrundan, which involves the participating companies being open to visitors between 11 am and 3 pm on 28/5-2022. Mainly participating food artisans and raw material producers with activities in dairy, jam and marmalade production, catering with coffee, egg production, beef production and honey production. In addition to this, second-hand players are also participating, with open gardens, art, a community center with coffee, coffee basket and lunch, a number of rest areas and other attractions.
