Development of Gårdskär fishing port
In Älvkarleby municipality lies Gårdskär fishing port, a charming, beautiful and peaceful place where development work for the fishing port has been in full swing.
About the project
The project will, through extensive renovation and creation of facilities in Gårdskär fishing port, contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the area for those visiting from both sea and land. The efforts in the project include an exciting combination of increased accessibility of unique cultural environments and developed reasons to visit through improved service.
Purpose The aim of the project is to increase the frequency of visits to the port from both sea and land.
The goal The aim of the project is to create a more attractive port by providing a new boat launch ramp and pier as well as other recreational activities in the port.
The activities The project includes purchasing bicycles, canoes, building a boat ramp and a floating dock, purchasing benches, clearing reeds and the new green areas, signing up the area and finally marking the waterways.
