The football club of the future as a rural developer

About the project

The project has good potential to contribute to new and preserved livelihood opportunities. Realization of ideas through guidance, inspiration and collaboration is expected to lead to successful and long-term work for local development in several locations in the municipalities concerned.

Purpose The aim of the project is to inspire and mobilize local football clubs for local development work with football as a foundation. Create collaborations between different actors, such as clubs, municipalities and companies. Strengthen and develop the facilities of the local sports clubs. Develop an already ongoing integration work and give those clubs that have not so far had the opportunity for active integration and diversity work, insight and knowledge about this.

The goal The project includes information and inspiration meetings with all local football clubs in the municipalities concerned. Documentation from all information meetings, compilation of ideas from interested clubs and possible business plans for continued work.  

The activities in the project are: Employment of project managers who arrange information and later planning meetings with local associations in the municipalities concerned; Compilation of ideas and design of operational plans; Through the project manager and SISU (the Swedish Sports Studies Association), offer associations guidance and support for local development work.
