About the project

The residents of Hedesundabygden lacked a community activity house, which limited their opportunities to participate in various leisure and cultural activities. The lack of a gathering place negatively affected community development, as it contributed to both out-migration and lack of in-migration. A community activity house could have strengthened the community, increased attractiveness for both current and potential residents, and promoted an active and vibrant countryside.

Where local businesses can showcase their products and meet their customers, and where both the community's own talents and visiting artists meet the audience. Also a place for wellness and rehabilitation as well as premises and facilities that the school can use in its daily operations..”
