culture for all

About the project

The project Culture for All, run by ABF Gästrikebygden, aims to create a vibrant cultural house in Österfärnebo where people of all ages can meet, be inspired, and develop their creative interests.

Through activities such as ceramics, painting, crafts, dance, and other cultural forms, the project aims to broaden the local cultural offerings, strengthen the community, and preserve the region's cultural heritage. In collaboration with local associations and cultural practitioners, a long-term meeting place is created that contributes to a more vibrant and attractive countryside.

Purpose The project aims to create an accessible meeting place for culture and creative creation in Österfärnebo. Through a broader cultural offering and collaboration between generations, the project seeks to strengthen the community, preserve the local cultural heritage, and make culture accessible to all.

Target group
The project targets children, youth, and adults in Österfärnebo and surrounding areas, with a particular focus on those who currently have limited opportunities to participate in cultural activities in their hometown. By bringing together local associations, cultural practitioners, and artisans, a meeting place is created that strengthens community and local engagement. The project fulfills an important need in the region by broadening leisure offerings, reducing the need for travel to other locations, and providing more opportunities to develop interests. At the same time, local knowledge and craft traditions are preserved and passed on to new generations.
