The Ledverket project works to create sustainable trails and promote outdoor activities in the Nedre Dalälven area.
About the project
The long-term goal of the Ledverket project is to strengthen our tourism industry players. The project benefits the tourism industry in the area in general, but specifically those players who offer products and services in the areas of accommodation, dining and activities in connection with the trails.
This is because we want to inspire more visitors and residents to choose the Nedre Dalälven Biosphere Reserve's range of trails. We want to highlight trails where trail managers have a long-term, sustainable approach to their trails.
Purpose The project aims to develop and profile the Nedre Dalälven biosphere reserve as a destination for hiking, paddleboarding and cycling tourism, and to increase the opportunity for a rich and varied outdoor life for local residents.
Target group for the project is the local tourism industry in general. More specifically, those actors who offer guided outdoor activities and nature experiences, accommodation facilities, restaurants, cafes and canoe and bicycle rental companies and those companies that package various outdoor experiences with accommodation and food. As well as actors in trade, such as grocery stores, farm shops and those who offer locally produced food and drink and the area's actors in fishing tourism.
An equally important target group is those who live in the area or those who are considering moving in. Being inspired and informed about a quality range of trails increases the opportunity for a rich outdoor life, which can increase the attractiveness of wanting to live and work within the biosphere reserve. And an active outdoor life and moving more in nature, in turn, has a positive impact on public health for both children and adults.
